quotable: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”-Jeremiah 29:11

her story: Trinity has a passion for acting. As a student at BTW Magnet, a school centered on the arts, she has the opportunity to pursue her passion, and has proven time and time again that she has real talent. She is treasurer of BTW’s Thespian Honor Society, and placed third at the Omega Talent Search, as well as at Alabama’s Trumbauer Theatre Festival. She shares, “Theatre is a passion of mine and it inspires me everyday to expand my imagination and step into other people’s shoes. It allows me to access a different part of my brain and gives me something to work towards to get better at.” When asked how she wants to be remembered, Trinity answered, “I want to be remembered as someone little girls look to and say “I can do that too!” I want to be that person who gives others hope that nothing is impossible, no matter who you are or where you’re from, as long as you work for it.”

what’s next: Trinity explains, “I have plans to become a professional actress. Acting is the one thing that makes sense. It’s something that’s always been a part of me, and it’s always been there.” She adds, “If I couldn’t be an actress, I’d teach theatre!”

PG (parental guidance) rating: “Even though my parents are divorced, I have a healthy relationship with both parents, both of my stepparents, and my half-siblings who I love with my whole heart.”

parents’ perspective: Ferlisa is proud of Trinity’s self-worth, stating, “She stands on her own confidence and not what others may think of her.” She adds, “As her mother, I ensure she is afforded the opportunity to explore all her options so she can make the best decision for the path she chooses to make.”

parent-to-parent: “Encourage them to go big- no matter what challenges and obstacles they may face. Always keep God first because it is His divine love that will guide them through this journey of life on earth.
