Teen Spotlight: Mackenzie Battaglia

her story: Mackenzie is dedicated to putting her all into everything she does, especially when it comes to school. She explained, “Attending an academically advanced school my whole life has really encouraged me to always do my best. Working alongside classmates and under instructors who truly value education and the pursuit of knowledge has pushed me beyond my limits more times than I can count.” At LAMP, she is a member of the National Honor Society, National Chinese Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. Outside of her academics, Mackenzie is the co-captain for LAMP’s Lady Tiger basketball team and serves on her church’s Student Leadership Team.

what’s next: Mackenzie plans to attend Auburn University. She shared, “I want to study secondary education mathematics and become a high school teacher, then work for my master’s in special education. I have a passion and a desire to work with people who have special needs and make them feel loved! I cannot imagine myself doing anything else.”
