his story

Garrett shared his favorite thing about attending Alabama Christian Academy is “that I can build relationships with the students and teachers and be able to glorify God.” Garrett is in the ACA marching band, chorus, and the Chamber Choir. He is the drum major for the marching band and the President of the chorus. When asked how he wants to be remembered, he answered, “I want to be remembered for how I made people feel. I want to be remembered for loving people for who they are and not judging them.”

what’s next

Garrett sees himself becoming a prosecutor or a full-time model in the future. He shared, “I love fashion and how clothing makes me feel. I love how fashion could speak to someone without saying a word and how what you are wearing tells your story.”

PG (parental guidance) rating

Garrett shared, “I’m most proud of my parents because they work so hard and tirelessly so that I can have everything I am destined to have. My mom has provided the most inspiration because she pushes me to be better and expresses how much I need to use my light and my voice to make a difference to glorify God.” In addition to the guidance from his parents, the best advice he ever received was from a teacher who told him, “Leadership takes stubbornness; and that to build character you must go through suffering.”

parents’ perspective

Garrett’s mom, Tracy Davie, shared, “What I love most about my son is that he is one of the most respectful, caring, and encouraging children of God. I have watched him overcome adversities with ease, and because of that, I admire his strength, courage, endurance, faith, perseverance, love, and all he shows to his family and friends.”

parent-to-parent

Tracy Davie and Garrett Davie Sr.’s advice to other parents would be “pray for and with your children. And pray that God would look into their hearts and help them achieve every burning desire they may have.”
