His Story
Carson Horn’s favorite thing about attending Alabama Christian Academy are the teachers and friends that he’s met there and the family-like atmosphere. At ACA, Carson is involved in many extracurriculars, such as Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, ACA Football, ACA Baseball, Spanish National Honor Society, and serves as an Eagle Ambassador. Something most people don’t know about him is that he has a sports podcast where he talks about SEC football and basketball. He has this advice for incoming freshmen, “step out of his or her comfort zone and get involved in different school programs and activities.”
What’s Next
Carson Horn wants to be a Physician’s Assistant in Neurology. He chose this because he has always wanted to help people with neurological diseases, like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
Parental Guidance (PG) Rating
Carson shared that his favorite thing about his family is how they “love the Lord and try to honor Him in everything they do.” He says that one person who inspires him is his brother because of his “great character” and is his “biggest encourager”.
Parents’ Perspective
Carson’s parents shared, “Carson has quiet wisdom, a maturity beyond his years. He also seeks out ways to serve others.” His parents expressed that they admire him because of his “determination and his self-discipline. When he sets a goal, he does all he can to achieve it.”
Parent to Parent
Kim and Michael Horn had this advice for other parents, “Embrace your child’s unique characteristics while setting boundaries and high expectations. Teach him to love others well, using Christ as the ultimate example.”
