She won first place in Self Expression at the Montgomery DYW competition and was named a Top 10 Finalist. what’s next: “I would love to be a girls youth minister. I have loved growing up in the church, but sadly I never had a youth leader who was a girl until just recently. I learned that the teen years are crucial for girls to have someone to talk to and help guide them, and I want to be that girl for other girls! I would also love to start my own ministry for teenage girls and write my own book.”

PG (parental guidance) rating: “I am proud of how my father and mother lead our family. They lead with a focus on Jesus Christ, and they have taught each of their children that a life for Christ is a life worth living. I am also proud of the tight bond I have with each of my siblings. We are all so close, and I realize that is hard to come by nowadays.”

parents’ perspective: Camille and Matt share, “By God’s grace, Cami has made mature decisions as to how she lives her life and how she loves others. That is what we admire most.”

parent-to-parent: “Remember: You have 18 years to prepare your children for life. It is a process- a marathon, not a sprint!
