Prom & Parties

Party Time: Hosting

With pre-party get togethers, prom after-parties, and breakfasts, parents are and can be involved more than ever to help create a memorable and fun night for their teen.

With pre-party get togethers, prom after-parties, and breakfasts, parents are and can be involved more than ever to help create a memorable and fun night for their teen. Here are some pre- and after-party ideas to try:

  • Plan a pre-dinner party before prom at your home or another parent’s. Go all out with it— have music, dinner, and even a photo-booth for the teens to take pictures. By partnering with other parents and families, you can enjoy prom night just as much as your teen!
  • Breakfast “mini” bar – This is a fun way to whip up breakfast after prom. Mini waffles with all the fixings (strawberries, blueberries, etc.) pancakes, doughnuts, muffins, and even tiny omelets baked in muffin pans are not only filling, but easy to make.
  • Plan a “potluck” prom after-party with other parents with each of you responsible for a dish.
