Stuck in the Middle

You may have heard the term “sandwich generation”—a phrase used to describe middle-aged people who are sandwiched between two generations as they care for their aging parents while still taking care of their own children. The Pew Research Center found that today, one out of every eight Americans, ages 40-60, is raising a child and caring for a parent at home, and these numbers are expected to rise as the population ages.
